/ ABOUT
Swedish artist born in 1997.
I create paintings mainly using acrylics and oil pastels, often built through layers and repeated reworking. I prefer larger canvases as I find scale plays an important role. Larger surfaces allow for a level of freedom where mistakes and changes become part of the final result.
My work can often be seen on two levels. Through text and simple compositions, the paintings present a direct, visible idea, while also reflecting personal themes shaped by memory, relationships, and perception. What is written often describes what is seen, but also points to something more personal.
My process is intuitive, more often starting with a feeling rather than a fixed concept that builds up during the process. I build and repaint surfaces over time, allowing earlier versions to remain present beneath the surface.
The work explores a tension between appearance and emotion, often presenting something that feels visually light, but carries something more underneath, often a feeling that most people can relate to. At times, this approach can shift towards a more direct or ironic tone, using humor and familiar visual language to reflect on how meaning is constructed and perceived.
